About Paws & Reflect

I know what it’s like to feel deeply connected to your dog—and still feel stuck.

To be doing everything “right,” and still wonder why it feels so hard. To rearrange your life around your dog’s needs, and still feel like you’re falling short.

That’s why I do the work I do.

I founded Paws & Reflect to help dog guardians who aren’t looking for dominance-based training or quick fixes—just real support, grounded in empathy, science, and respect.

I’m a certified Family Dog Mediator¼— I look beyond behavior to understand the full picture of your dog’s life.

Using the LEGS¼ framework, we explore your dog’s Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self—which includes their physical health, emotions, and internal needs.

It’s not about fixing surface-level behavior. It’s about building safety, trust, and understanding from the inside out.

I also draw from:

  • Science-based, force-free training strategies

  • Applied ethology and canine body language

  • A belief that your relationship with your dog matters more than any checklist of commands

What matters to me?

That your dog is seen as a sentient being—not a project.
That your home feels like a place where both of you can exhale.

Because most behavior issues aren’t about disobedience.
They’re about dogs who are overwhelmed—and people who are unsupported.

That’s why I put welfare before obedience—always.

True welfare isn’t just a roof over their head or food in their bowl.
It’s about meeting your dog’s emotional, physical, and social needs.
It’s about giving them a life that makes sense—to them.
A life with purpose, predictability, and peace.

That’s where real change begins.
